They played in a puddle, they drank from the puddle, they played with leaves, they jumped at a bade of grass, they fell over sideways when trying to scratch their heads, they tripped on their big feet, they swam in the drinking bowl, they drank from the drinking bowl, they found oats on the grass to eat, they pounced on nothing, they quacked in tiny squeaks, they were very brave and explored the back of the garden when mum wasn't looking, then they ran to her and huddled around for protection, they sheltered under mum's wings when it rained, but most of all they were so, so cute.

DeleteToday's buzz is that our first Monarch has emerged in the Butterfly House. Whilst we've had others emerge elsewhere, this is the first butterfly from caterpillars that grew in the Butterfly House - and it's a girl.
